Flee from Housework and Seeding

That’s right. Take a break. Mark your calendar for the Gardener’s Flea Market at the Barber & Oberwortmann Horticulture Center in Joliet on Saturday, May 21 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.. The ballroom, hallways, entry and the grounds will be packed with vendors selling everything from heirloom vegetables, herbs, rare and unusual peppers, perennials and shrubs to garden art, books, pottery, tablecloths, vases and more—both new antique and gently used. The Horticulture Center and the Birdhaven Greenhouse are at 227Gougar Road in Joliet (just two blocks north of Illinois Route 30 on Gougar). After your purchases, take a stroll through the lovely indoor spring display over the pond, through the cacti and tropical houses. Worth the ride out there and you’re sure to find something fascinating for your garden or home.

Find some pottery, garden art, plants and more for your little neck of the woods.

For more information, call 815-741-7278.
